Help your child finish the summer strong and ready for the new school year.

  • Read every day - Books, magazines, or audiobooks.

  • Get moving - play outside, ride their bike or scooter, swim, walk or participate in a community kick-ball, basketball, or touch football game.

  • Get enough sleep - it’s seems fun to stay-up late and sleep-in but encourage your child to keep a sleep routine. It will make it easier when school starts in August.

  • Make healthy choices - fuel their body with nutritious food and plenty of water. Stay away from alcohol, tobacco, vaping and other drugs.

  • Practice kindness - help a neighbor, volunteer, or spend quality time with family and friends

  • Unplug and recharge - have them take breaks from screens (phone, computer)

  • Build Skills - have your child help with chores. It’s a good way to practice organization, responsibility and problem-solving.

  • Take Care of their Mind - find healthy ways for them to manage stress and worries.

  • Set goals for the new school year - have them think about what they want to learn, achieve, or improve
