Calvert County will participate in International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) on August 31st. An important part of this outreach event is lighting the community purple to remember those lost to overdose and show support for their families and to those on the path to recovery.
We invite you to participate in the “Light Calvert Purple” Initiative by visiting one of the following locations to pick-up your FREE purple lightbulb. In addition, we invite you to the IOAD Glow Vigil on Saturday, August 30th, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Eagle Pavilion located at Kellam Field in Chesapeake Beach for this year’s remembrance event and the introduction of a new community art project.
