Anxiety is the most common socio-emotional condition in children today. Post-Pandemic, the number of children with anxiety has greatly increased. Anxiety is excessive stress and worry. Negative self-talk takes over and there is self-doubt, fear, and difficulty functioning in the home, school, and community. Learn how to help your child learn to control anxiety using the Three C's, use of mindfulness and positive self-talk.

Sonia Hinds, APRN, PMH-BC, RPT-S is the Founder and CEO of Chesapeake Beach Professional Seminars. Founder and Executive Director of Barstow Acres Children's Center, a non-profit practice providing children and families mental health services. Ms. Hinds is trad in Child-Centered and Gestalt play therapy with Violet Oakland (retired). Authored chapter, Play Therapy with African-American Village in text, Cultural Issues in Play Therapy, edited by Eliana Gil, Ph.D, RPT-S, and Athena Drewes, Psy.D, RPT-S. Ms. Hinds is the recipient of the MD/DC APT 2019 Outstanding Service Award.
